• Identify what a communicable disease is
• Identify the path of infection
• Identify the differences between illnesses caused by bacteria and those caused by viruses
• Identify precautionary measures to stop the spread of disease
• Identify a plan of action for what to do if you are exposed to a disease
• Identify the core skills of safe food handling

Communicable diseases meets the requirement for bloodborne pathogens for new hires. Once a year, you will do a bloodborne pathogens refresher course.
